I have 2 issues on my 2007 jeep patriot 2. 4.
1 st issue is patriot makes whining noise when accelerating at idle and driving took off the serpentine belt and changed.

Common causes in that area are the alternator, and the tensioner or idler rollers. you can remove the belt and see.
